Opera Festival at the Arena di Verona

Carmen – Aida – La Traviata – Il Trovatore – Romeo and Juliett

Day 1: Arrival + City Tour
After arriving in Verona, your chauffeur will welcome you at the airport or train station gate for the transfer to your hotel. After hotel check-in, your tour guide takes you on a sightseeing tour through the city of Romeo and Juliet. Walking in the cobbled lanes of the Old Town, you will be taken on a journey through 2000-years of history and see the impressive amphitheatre Arena di Verona, venue of the famous Opera Festival; the former Roman forum of the town, today`s Piazza Erbe; the bridge Ponte Pietra; the city gates Porta Borsari and Porta Leoni, as well as Casa Capuleti from the 13th century, better known as the “house of Juliet”. Throwing a glance from the bronze of Juliet in the patio to the stone balcony above you will instantly feel reminded of the scenery of one of the most famous dramatic scenes of all times! The evening is open for your own explorations. Upon request, we will be glad to help you with your restaurant reservation.

Day 2: Arena di Verona
For this morning, we recommend an excursion to the close-by Garda Lake. Driving along the lakeshore from the so-called Riviera of the olives in the south of the lake via the picturesque villages of Bardolino, Garda and Tori del Benaco to the almost alpine north of the lake and the beautiful towns of Riva del Garda and Limone, you will get an extensive impression of Lago di Garda. In the afternoon, you will return to Verona, where the highlight of your tour is awaiting you: a visit of the famous Arena di Verona. Due to its elliptical form, Italy`s third biggest amphitheatre is characterized by fantastic all around acoustics – a fact that is highly appraised by opera enthusiasts all over the world.

Day 3: Departure
After a rich breakfast, your chauffeur will transfer you to the airport or train station. You will return home with many unique impressions.
