Danube Metropolis Vienna

3 Days

Day 1:
After arriving in Vienna, your chauffeur will welcome you at the airport or train station gate and take you to your hotel. After hotel check-in, we recommend to take a stroll through the historic centre of Vienna to get a first impression of the imperial flair of the Austrian capital.

Day 2:
City Tour Vienna + Schonbrunn Palace
In the morning, you will discover the most important sights of this impressive city together with your tour guide as e.g. the Hofburg, the former imperial residence; the nostalgic amusement park Prater with the Giant Ferris Wheel, the landmark of Vienna; the Belvedere Palace, which was built by Prince Eugen of Savoy and is the motive on the Austrian 20-cent-coins; the Danube tower, offering a splendid view from its rotating restaurant; St. Stephen`s Cathedral, Austria`s most eminent Gothic building and St. Charles Church, a magnificent baroque building. In the afternoon, you will visit Schonbrunn Palace, Empress Sisi`s former summer residence and one of the most important Austrian cultural monuments, which has been added to the UNESCO`s cultural heritage in 1996 due to its historic importance, its unique grounds and its splendid furnishings. The evening is at your own disposal. Upon request, we gladly organize a typical “Heurigenabend” for you, where you can enjoy genuine food, wine and music.

Day 3:
For this morning, we recommend a visit of one of the world-famous Viennese coffeehouses. Sit back, enjoy a traditional coffee specialty and review the sights of this unique city. Afterwards, your chauffeur will take you back to the airport or train station. You will return home with many wonderful impressions of the Austrian capital.

Please also note that due to the opening times of included sights the program might have to be modified.

In cases of special events or important fairs and conferences, an accommodation in a centrally located hotel might not be possible. The excursion program however is generally not affected by these events.
