Arrival + City tour
Arrival in Innsbruck and transfer from airport/train station to your hotel. After hotel check-in, your tour guide is awaiting you for a sightseeing tour in Innsbruck: You will see the memorial Anna Säule, a monument which was endowed by Tyrolean country towns to remember the retreat of Bavarian troops on Anna commemoration day in the year 1703; the famous Golden Roof, the splendid landmark of Innsbruck; the Imperial Palace with its lavish state apartments, formerly the residence of Tyrolean sovereigns, as well as the adjoining gardens from the 15th century; the Leopold fountain showing archduke Leopold V; the Rudolf fountain at Bozener Platz, which was built in 1863 to celebrate the 500-year jubilee of the unification of Tyrol and Austria, and the cathedral of St. Jakob, built 1717-1724 in an elaborate Baroque style, which are the headquarters of the Roman Catholic diocese of Innsbruck. The afternoon is at your own disposal.
After breakfast, your chauffeur is awaiting you for the transfer back to the airport or train station. You will return home with many lasting impressions of Innsbruck.
